LAYTONSVILLE, MD - February 15, 2000 - Downright Software, a leading developer and tester of e-business applications, today announced the results of its engagement using the WebSledge family of performance testing services to verify the scalability of LifeMinders.com, the site that supported the largest reported increase in Web site traffic of all "dot com" Super Bowl advertisers. The "Worst Commercial on the Super Bowl" highlighted LifeMinders.com's ability to send great email and brought a record fifteen times the average number of visitors to the company's Web site. Downright Software, a member of RadView's Partner Network, used RadView's WebLoad to test the scalability and integrity of www.lifeminders.com to ensure their customers enjoyed peak performance during the astonishing response.

Downright's test using WebLoad was performed at fives times the previous peak load of 1 million hits and 35,000 registrants in one day. Immediately after the commercial aired, traffic to the site soared to 15 times the normal load and at one point more than 5,000 new members were added to the company's database in less than 15 minutes. Over 700,000 new members were added to the database as a result of the quick download and registration response times. According to Nielson NetRatings, the increase of unique audience to LifeMinders.com was 91.4%. Customers were able to download the home page in 0.55 seconds, according to Keynote, a leading provider of Internet performance measurement. The average sign-up time remained under a minute, even under the dramatically increased traffic resulting from the Super Bowl ad. Prior testing with WebLoad by Downright Software assured these key performance metrics.
