Downright's Web Performance Testing Facility is a network of single
and dual processor workstations connected to the Internet via a high
bandwidth channel (dedicated T-1). The load generated using RadView's
WebLoad can simulate up to 300 virtual clients. (Use of WebLoad in
conjunction with the WPTF requires the purchase of a WebLoad Term
License.)
The Web Performance Testing Facility is used by Downright's Web Performance Testing
Engineers to generate a load for the System Under Test. This permits
us to test your web application in a "real-world"
environment. Used alone, or in conjunction with Load Generators
on-site, the Web Performance Testing Facility can help you develop an
understanding of how your web based application will respond under a
load from clients using the public Internet.
WebSledge packages can be delivered remotely using Web Performance
Testing Facility when:
- the System under test is available on the Internet, or
- VPN/Intranet access through a firewall can be granted for
testing purposes.
Many clients find that they can eliminate travel expenses entirely
when using the Web Performance Testing Facility to general a load for
this capability planning or scalability tests.
